Not to disagree, but Kraftwerk did more than relay what it meant to be German.
They redefined it.
They were born into a Germany with it's culture shattered and it's direction lost. Germany was taking its artistic, musical and popular cues from outside Germany.
Kraftwerk was a visionary, determining leader that brought Germany out of the post-war cultural malaise.
if u think about it. kraftwerk started with a mix of real instruments and synthesizers but eventually went more into electronics. so, i'd say that scene from Revenge of the nerds was an idea born from Kraftwerk's appearance. i mean, when i first got into kraftwerk... i thought the same thing reminds me of the music scene from ROTN.
