No Golden Syrup (As in Lyle's Golden Syrup) is NOT honey.

Honey is made by bees and is an invert enzyme sugar.

Golden Syrup is made from Sugar Cane and is not similar at all. It is not quite Corn Syrup or Molasses, and it is much richer, and controls the graininess of the sauce.

  • "sweet...sweet...amber...mmm" lol love nigella!

  • She is one of the most beautiful women alive :)

  • God, the way she describes food is just so decadent and indulgent. It really shows a love and passion that I think we should all have with food.

  • 'Thers something comforting about a cupboard full of food' Yes, Maybe because you can't get out of it so you find it like a home maybe? :D

  • @MsOutspokenOutcast *Sigh* You REALLY don't cook much, do you? :P

  • @MsOutspokenOutcast You should probably look at the comments below to find out what golden syrup is and educate yourself. Golden syrup and honey are extremely different.

  • Lol the golden syrup is honey... She and gabriel off of extra virgin crack me up. With their making up of words. Gabriel calls butter a milk cube WTF. Anyways this looks pretty good but I think I'll taste it as I go to make sure it isn't too sweet.

  • 3:12 was so funny "THERE WE GO"

  • This sauce would be good by itself and for dipping salty pretzels into if you don't want to use ice cream.
