@Reencarned I'm a broadcast college dropout and still got it :) Science is cool.

I got the same thing but with am aluminum track and it isn't as fast as that. could that be what slows it down?
-
I think I'm gonna do this for science fair is it fun and kinda easy?
-
@ipodless91 I've only studied physics for 2 years....and I understood every single word you said. It's awesome

@ahmadclk not more magnets just stronger one however it would need huge magnets and huge ball bearings
-
what size magnets did you use? any idea where i can find these supplies?
-
@ahmadclk they can do more than that. Ever heard of rail guns? They work in a very similar fashion, but more elaborate.
-
ok this might sound stupid but is it possible to but more magnets to the point where when the ball shoots it can become as lethal as a bullet?
-
@oleslr amazon, e-bay, anywhere pretty much.
well my understanding of it is this:
There is potential energy stored in the first metal bearing which is the magnetic force on that ball. As the ball accelerates that energy is turned into Kinetic Energy which then is transferred by momentum through the magnets, and the other balls on the other side. The last ball has nothing to transfer to and therefore flies off with the force that was exerted upon it.
