I only just started doing single hand natural harmonics, lap-tapping of any kind, slap-tap harmonics, and piano tapping proper last night. I basically had a really productive ten minutes, and wrote a mutated version of Andy Walker's Expect, titled Unexpected ;) to celebrate.

It's not completed yet, might never be since it's such a rip-off of his song, but it's not bad for a first try.

  • I'm playing them with one hand. I'm borrowing Tommy Emmanuel's technique, if you've ever seen his Harmonics Lesson video? If I tap them - I do on occasion - the note is quite weak, or it pings against the fretboard and sounds horrible. I use my index finger to 'fret' it, and pluck with my thumb.

Just a few minutes ago I built some waterfall technique into it, too! Quite proud of myself :P

    Thanks for the comment! :D

  • Getting there!

  • keep on working on it ..

TIP: harmonics can be achieved by striking the string with the pointer finger at the exact right place. there is no need to finger the harmonic and pluck it with the other hand.

just "reach out and touch it " haha .. well touch it kinda hard but .. thats the basic idea ..

Check out my Flat Tapping video's when you get time

    Nice to meet you
