To whom it may concern, Liberia may be the resting place for many of Americas dissatisfied Black americans. If not in flesh then in spirit. Why would not Oprah and others with money to spare not help rebuild this historical place? Marcus Garvey tried but we were unsuccessful, however they need us now and I pray we respond positively. We need a place to call our own as long as we are accepted and prove to be a positive contribution. Long live Liberia!!!
May God help the people of Liberia to raise up from the poverty and the suffering they have lived in for so long. May the wounds of the war heal within the heart and soul of the people them. May Starvation become a thing of the past for her people. God help Liberia! Amen Amen Amen!
This is a creepy blast from the past. My parents and I stayed in this hotel just after it lost its Intercontinental status, back in January 1984, when we were waiting for the Nigerian borders to re-open after the coup that had happened on New Year's Eve, 1983. I played Scrabble alongside that pool!
