Yes the stand folds up. We've had this cube model for 2 years and it still runs perfectly and we use it several times a day. My husband puts to-go cups under it and hits the large cup button twice to both dilute and fill up his cup.
I prefer the true espresso and absolutely love this machine! I have to say I wasn't expecting the quality of coffee that I got. My sister also has the smaller Essenza model, but you cannot fit the tall cups on that model.

Does the stand where the espresso mug sits on fold up if u wanna pour the espresso straight into an on-to-the-go cup?

I like the le cube but it looks like it takes up alot of storage space. So i like the nespresso citiz better.
