Tour with visitors from the 95th Bomb Group as they visit Thorpe Abbotts, one of the last standing Heavy Bomber Airbases in England. Home to the famous "Bloody Hundredth" 100TH BOMB GROUP (HEAVY)this base saw many B-17's take off to bomb Nazi targets in Europe, and sadly many did not return.
These photos are put to music of Blue Harlem - popular UK Swing Band.

  • We had visited T/A in 2003, 2007 and now we will be there in Aug. 14, 2011. As a videographer, i never tire of filming T/A ww two base. Special thanks too all the volunteers, Ron & Carol Bately, Gordon and the rest. Our uncle Ray Reddy flew out of T/A in 44 as a waist gunner in B-17g "Miss Kitty". We were lucky enough too meet some of the vets. at a Ca. reunion. These heros always say, "The real heros never came back, their waiting for us........God Bless Them All.
