Corps used the internet to attack its critics

Hiding their identities, people at the US Army Corps of Engineers in New Orleans masqueraded as ordinary citizens and attempted to rewrite the history of the New Orleans flooding by posting misinformation on the internet with the regions leading news source - the Times Picayune.

For a period extending over three years, these often nasty comments had the combined effect of shifting responsibility for the Corps destructive and deadly levee failures during Katrina away from itself and onto the citizens of metro New Orleans.

Levees.org believes every citizen in America should be outraged that their Army Corps of Engineers, tasked by Congress to protect us, is instead attacking us.

US Senator Mary Landrieu just issued this statement 5:09 CST:

"I am very concerned by the reports that a number of Corps employees have engaged in a disingenuous campaign to undercut their critics in Louisiana, Landrieu said. My staff and I will continue to review these allegations and will urge Pentagon officials to thoroughly review this matter."

Those levees should have been a LOCAL responsibility and the rebuilding should be as well. the federal government should be responsible for it in the least.

Under federal law, the Flood Control Act of 1965, only the federal government is allowed to design and build the levees in New Orleans. That is why the Corps' failure is a federal responsibility.

The Dutch learned through their catastrophic flooding in 1953 to make water management their #1 PRIORITY to PROTECT their country and their people. The USA is so indebted to corporations that they ignore their obligations to this country and its people. It is a DISGRACE.

But,to add to what you have said, we used to be able to find articles titled along the lines of "explosions heard" in the days following Katrina. The articles disppeared pretty quickly and now it is even hard to find the titles. Surprised?

Fact; we are governed by foreigners (more than just the "birther" issue) who are robbing us of our goods, rights, culture and traditions.

I believe something far more sinister than bad engineering was involved in the Katrina disaster. What about the US Government controlling the weather? Chemtrails, Project HARP, Micro Nuking of the WTC... the US Government/Military is out to kill it's own citizens. I think the Hurricane named Katrina was created by and sent to New Orleans by the US Government. I believe it was an experiment and New Orleans was chosen because they don't give any value to those who did not escape New Orleans.

Well, we now know, since they were convicted last month (Oct or Nov 09) of negligence, not of the levies but of that pathway through the middle (can't remember the name of it). So they were guilty the whole time, and vigoriously projecting your deeds on your victims is what the guilty and bullies do.
