@MrJoseBittencourt Eh, not in any conservatories today, I dont think so. What she teatches refer for me to the teaching and studies of Monique Dechaussees, a French teacher, student of Alfred Cortot, and it is not that rare that those technicals and approaches are used by now (in France anyway for sure).

Dear Maria Saboya , I would say : the "only piano technique possible" (makes it the best, accordingly !) thanks for that nice video....

Want to be able to play my own compositions/songs as a song writer. Hear the music in my head but can't seem to get it to my fingers. Somewhat pick out notes and tunes by ear. Saw your video and thought maybe I need to learn exercises and technique BEFORE developing bad habits. I live near Seattle, Washington in USA. Any instructors in my area teaching your technique?
Thank you

@mariasaboya One of the techniques Mme.Saboya demonstrates here is called retro-articulation.First mvnt.is a staccato note played with an isolated fingermvmnt.Secondly one lets the finger drop down on the key as a reaction/kind of aftertouch of the finger, muted. No sound.Glenn Gould used this a lot as a part of a two step practice regimen. The first part being fingertapping. The results are a very briljant and open sound but it can lead to injury if done do much.Nevertheles very efficient.

This a fantastique way of piano playing. She's very close to the great Claudio Arrau, who was a pupil of Martin Karuse, pupil of Franz Liszt. Not that one technique given in conservatoires allover the world, educating sewing machines.
