Hector seals his fate by killing Patroclus, dearest to Achilles. When Achilles learns of the murder he comes looking for Hector with his mind set on vengeance. Achilles arrives at the city walls of Troy and commands his foe to confront him and fight to the death. Even though Hector is a great warrior, his level of skill is no match for the gifted Achilles.
