The first of a six part series on veneering with a vacuum press. This video episode reviews the vacuum press and vacuum bag set-up. My inspiration to start veneering came from Neil Lamens. Visit Neil at furnitology.blogspot.com! I got my veneering gear at joewoodworker.com

I have seen the Thin Air Press blog on your website. There is also a great Thin Air Press review posted on Lumberjocks. Vacuum veneering is a great addition to one's skill set be it clamp pressure with cauls and platens, non-electric vacuum, electric vacuum or an air compressor vacuum generator. I have seen your product demonstrated and think it would be a very worthy addition to any shop. I will have to consider getting one for another shop video / tutorial.

  • Great tutorial about vacuum veneering David.

People should know there are alternatives to using an electric vacuum pump for vacuum veneering. There is a blog called Thin Air Press that has a number of build tutorials that show how easy vacuum laminating can get.
