@DestonProductions Dots - especially red ones, it seems - are apparently quite common on these cameras; and people often send them to Canon, when this could work and save them the trouble. However, I guess that some are so bad that just remapping isn't enough (perhaps it's so 'hot' that it's out of range, or it's just totally broken and always on). Obviously, it's worth trying one more time just to double-check, but if it really won't go away then I guess your only option is 'send to Canon' :-(
