Nick's POV

The day went by rather quickly, which was the nice. Eight period was cut short due to an assembly? Instantly my mind averted back to the conversation at the bus stop. As I walked to the gym, I heard people discussing the assembly, and that it indeed was the Columbine shooting...
Needless to say I sat through the whole thing watching it... I know for a fact, that I won't be sleeping tonight. The images kept replaying in my mind. I ran from the gym and to the buses, which then headed to the highschool.
I waited for my brothers to get on, I waved to Amy as I saw her walking towards her bus. She blew me a kiss. I couldn't find her during the assembly so I sat with my other friends... but I thank god for it, because she would have seen her boyfriend bawling.. and I can't have that.
"hey nick J, what's up bro?" Ben said taking a seat next to me
"nothin much, how was the assembly?" I asked... as If I don't know!
"creepy thank god you didn't see it"
Joe and Michael then got on the bus, waving goodbye to their friends.
"hey brothas!" Joe said sitting beside us with mikey.
"hiya" Ben said
"no I saw it" I said.. Ben turned around, as did the other two who had no clue of our previous conversation... but understood it completely.
"You what?" Joe asked
"We had the same assembly"
They just nodded. I put in my ear phones and listened to some random playlist.
Our stop was the first one, Kevin was waiting at the stop. I hopped in the back with Ben, and Joe, Michael was up front.
"how was school guys?" Kev asked looking into the mirror, as he turned from the stop and headed up our street.
"we ALL had the Columbine assembly, even Nicholas"
"Nick, let me know by tonight where you'll be sleeping, I don't want to wake up and look frantically around for you"
I nodded and got out of the car. Anytime there was something scary... that I had no intensions of watching, I was allowed to sleep with my brothers. The only reason Kevin wants to know is because one time I slept with Joe, and kev couldn't find me... and nor did Joe know. I'm pretty quiet.
The round of showers came next, since there's only two bathrooms, we each got to use it... which mean't two were doing homework, two showering. I had already raced to the showers when we got home, so now I was doing homework. Kev called everyone down for dinner- tonights meal was some sort of pasta? But it was good.
"hey kev, is it ok if I sleep with you tonight?" I didn't feel like sharing a room with one of my other brothers tonight.
"sure bud, go ahead and go one up there. You look pretty tired" He suggested
I bid my goodnights to my brothers, Michael was spending the night again. Adam was at home trying to get things together in their new house, that he purchased a few weeks ago.

Kevin's POV
I got all the kids to finally go to bed. I thought that once they got older they would go to bed when they were told... they still don't!
I found Nick asleep in my bed. I gently moved him over and scooted under the covers.
I woke up a few hours later to muffled crying. I rubbed my eyes and looked at my phone for a source of light. Nick was hunched over lightly crying?
"Nicholas, what's the matter?" I asked sitting up next to him
"bb- bad dream" I pulled him into my lap as he sobbed in my chest
"shh buddy, it's all over" I soothed
I already knew it was on the assembly, his night terrors would probably go on for another week. It was always like this, even since he was a baby.
His sobbings turned into soft breathing, I looked down to find him asleep. I placed both of us under the covers and kept him close to me.
The next morning I woke up- almost half way through the week!
I got up and opened the blinds, it was still dark now that summer was over- fall was here.
I ran my hand through Nick's curls, and his eyes instantly opened "morning buddy, how are you?"
"morning kevy, I'm ok"
"good, I'm going to get your brothers up, go ahead and get dressed I'll be down stairs in a minute"
I left him in my room and walked down the hall to find Michael, Joe, and Ben sprawled out of the floor in a pile of blankets to find the x-box on.
I grabbed the remote and shut the tv off. I told these boys to go to bed at 10, and it looks like they just now went to bed!
"boys, up now!" I opened their curtains... the sun was now rising, shining into the bedroom.
"uh kev, shut it off!"
"nope, up now all of you" I delivered a smack to each of their bottoms, making them each whine.
Once they were up, I got a closer look at them "what time did you guys go to bed? I know it was past 10"
"umm" They couldn't reply, it had to have been late.
I sat on Joe's bed and called them over "Joseph, come here please"
"aw kev! please don't spank us!" he whined
I grabbed his arm and tugged down his sweats and had him over my knee.
I began spanking him with my hand as he cried out "ow! Kevy... please stop!"
I reigned down smacks till I got to 25, and did the same to the others.
