I really enjoy Mario! I do think his emotional involvement is unrivaled.

@GreekCallas Phew... 5 years ago - I'm almost sorry to 'correct' you after all these years.
Okay, I loved Elvis but he ain't in Mario's class; he ain't in Doris Day's class...
Elvis was not a good singer. Full-stop. Doris Day did some nice work, really nice.
Now, Mario Lanza; what a truly wonderful voice - that is a REAL singing voice, blessed and gifted and given to us - then taken away... Oh, what wondrous art.

Questa versione mi sembra la più sentita di quelle che ho ascoltato fin ora... Brividi..

the greatest tenor ever no doubt about it!

This rendition was amazing but This isnt his best studio recording of this aria, If you want to see his best studio rendition of this song try the album, "The Legendary Tenor". Its probably the best vesti la giubba ever sung.

Thanks, I always thought that was the same rendition on that album. Perhaps I'll buy the album now.

Pity that his Hollywood career prevented him from becoming a truly great artist. He certainly had a talent and a voice.

I agree. It's happened with too many artists such as Elvis Presley, Mario Lanza, Doris Day and many others.
