Remember, comedy was the method they used to deliver the very serious and controversial truths of the times. People were more likely to listen if it wasn't considered direct and serious protest to the government's actions and war in general. I for one am glad to see them make a bold statement without any props or quips to lessen the blow or mask the reality of the message.
