PART 2 OF 2: Harlan Ellison spoke after a screening of "A Boy and His Dog" at the New Beverly Theater in Los Angeles on March 12th, 2009. Unfortunately the camera's memory card filled up after 15 minutes. Harlan Ellison continued to speak for about an hour until the theater manager halted the talk because the 2nd movie needed to start (he said so the theater could close at a reasonable time). Harlan Ellison then continued his lecture out front of the theater on Beverly.

Earlier in the day Harlan Ellison had fallen on his roof and injured his back.

The day after this Q&A Harlan Ellison filed a lawsuit against CBS & the WGA over royalties.

  • Ellison's a real American bad ass.

  • Doggone it!

The last lines, being the most crucial, are missing.

Or, as Ellison would say: 'Schmuck!"

  • Harlan is a piece of work.

Thanks for that, mygreensheep. I just finished the story & that clarified some things for me.

  • I like that he says cassettes are still viable, my sentiments exactly, just because there's other tech doesn't mean they magically stop working, which is why I have two decks and all my tapes from high school still. Why get rid of something that's useful?

  • Wish I could have heard his last comments about the story.
