@foreverHIM101 He said, "Is he really as nice as this all the time, Gloria?"
-
@tomatoherb I agree. He was the Everyman, he portrayed the normal guy as opposed to the larger than life hero. But he did it with amazing style and skill.

Wow. This brings tears to my eyes. What an amazingly, humble and genuine man. RIP Jimmy Stewart.

I don't know what Jimmy saw in his wife. Maybe if Donna Reed hadn't been married at the time that she and Jimmy made "It's a Wonderful Life" together (this was before he met Gloria), they would have had something together. Now, there was a classy woman who was more on Jimmy's level in my humble opinion. To me, Gloria came off as an unrefined pseudo-intellectual with a vulgar New York accent. She wasn't even that attractive! Quite average, actually.

The most genuine and humble actor I've ever seen interviewed. What a remarkable man, a terrific actor, and one helluva class-act. When they talk of Hollywood's Golden Age, Jimmy Stewart is the jewel in their crown.

This was another time. The handshake, the eye contact, the humour, the job well done. no longer
now people literally piss on carpets and call it entertainment.
