Classic Game Room reviews the TURBO TOUCH 360 for Sega Genesis from Triax, a game controller where the traditional d-pad has been replaced with a touch sensitive pad. Each button mapped to Sega Genesis control has a turbo button and the controller gamepad has a bright yellow logo that screams "TURBO TOUCH 360". While this controller is not one of the better Sega Genesis (Sega Mega Drive) controllers it is a unique collector's item and an interesting idea. This CGR videogame hardware review for the Sega Genesis accessory, Turbo Touch 360, has video footage for the review of the Turbo Touch 360 from Triax for Megadrive.

  • Holy crap. I've been trying to find information on this controller for YEARS. Unfortunately, all I had to go on were some vague memories of television adverts from a decade and a half ago or more.

I didn't even know the name of the controller. Congratulations, CGR, I think you just made my weekend. Kick awesome.

  • Damn...I feel like Sega COULD have made some of the best games EVER. All of their tech was ALWAYS pioneering advancement (based on what I've known). but... if it hadn't been for their attitude to always BE the most advanced they wouldn't have gone downhill ): Sega vs Sony ended in the final Act for sega

  • i own one for the NES, and it makes the games harder to play.

  • i saw 360 and the sega genisis part was cut of so i clicked on it, but OK!

  • @wwfsimulator1325 Well, if you hold the button down, it will just think that you're just tapping it fast.

  • So who else clicked this because they saw the thumbnail and said to themselves "what the fuck is that thing?!"?

  • Ha, I remember the commercials for these. The slogan was "no more numb thumb!", like that was a chronic condition, or something. Was tempting in a gimmicky sort of way. Had one in my hands in stores on a couple of occasions, but always talked myself out of it. I always wanted a Program-A-Pad more. :P

  • What does the turbo button do? Like an example of a game and what it does.

  • ho-ly crap, I had almost forgotten about that thing! My favorite controller imo

  • Wow I remember I spending my allowance on this POS...it was worthless. It made playing games more difficult.

  • Ahh yes the turbo touch 360 good times having two

  • I hope this doesn't catch on.
