  • Don't know if its the mix or where you held the mike but It seemed there was a bit too much noise and not enough of the lead guitar. Sorry to be critical but The Rock and Roll Trio with Paul Burlison is still a tough act to follow even afer 50 years.

  • Actually the sound was really awfull in the place and I remember even one of the speakers of the PA was broke and making noise. fredO

  • Very awesome song

  • check out King Creole & the Dixieland Rockers when they do "The Train Kept A-Rollin"

    Thats Johnny Burnette stuff

  • i love this song! the sound quility isnt the best... but the lead guitarist is brilliant! .. Keep rockin MR AC!

  • many cover this classic song, but none better than Barfield and the Horton Brothers at Ginny's in Austin. search it

  • I have no words to explain the badassness of this video.

  • Shit, one of the best coverversions ever!

    Great and thanx to '55

  • Cool comments Leo. Paul Burlison did not play on the early "cooler" Johnny Burnette Trio recordings. It was Grady Martin who played on tracks such as "Lonesome Train" and "Honey Hush". Paul Burlison played on The later Trio stuff such as "Tear It Up". If you listen to and compare the guitar styles, you will hear the difference and that (even though Paul B. is a great player) Grady Martin (in my oppinion) is a far superior player and one of the greatest session guys.

    Thanks for posting too Mr.55

  • Thanks for the reply. Having watched again I can see that the the lead guitarist is making a pretty good stab at the Paul Burlison style. It's just a shame that you can't hear him properly. Keep the clips coming.
