  • Do whatever is practical. It may be easier to just change the brief when it is soiled, but it would depend on the person's skin integrity. When the patient is always wearing a brief, it could lead to skin breakdown if they are not changed quickly enough. For someone who is truly bedbound, perhaps investing in some open-back gowns or modifying other clothing would make it easier, provide some coverage for the patient, and prevent bunching of the clothing along the patient's back.

  • So glad you find it helpful!

  • This seems like such a simple concept to someone who works in healthcare, but I am sure this would help many people who are simply overwhelmed with the care of a sick loved one. Thank you for doing this. All of your videos are very valuable. Just wanted you to know that they are appreciated.

  • Thanks

  • THank you so much for this video, it is a real help when dealing with my dad who is 93. I would like to ask if the person in bed should wear a brief or if the pad is all that should be used? Is the patient otherwise naked for this approach? Thanks again.

  • Thanks for this.

  • thank you for this video
