It was unexpected...
He was hanging out with his friends one night, they were running across the road. None of them looked. By the time we hit our brakes it was too late. His soft body made contact with the cold, hard front end of the Crown Vic and he was gone.
I never knew the deer, but what little I knew of him I thought he was just great.

@EliteMrBubble I've killed dozens of deer and many other game animals for sport. Our culture is too sensitive. Kids should have to visit a butcher to understand what happens to make that nice Big Mac from McDonalds.
