WANTED, starring Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman, opened in theaters this past weekend and we dive into the source material, a comic book miniseries by Mark Millar and J.G. Jones.

  • @JimmyColls I kind of thought it was more about how while he was right about a lot things, what he put in its place was ultimately something just bad if not worse and that the narrator ultimately created this alter ego when he should've taken responsibility for HIS OWN life. Perhaps I've misinterpreted it, but I sort of took it as a film saying "grow the fuck up."

  • The point of Fight Club isn't that you should free yourself from the trap of modern life. A cult has been formed around that book and film that have completely misinterpreted what Palahniuk wanted to say. The point of Fight Club is that Tyler is out of his fucking mind. While he's right that modern life is a trap, his inability to deal with this properly drives him to denial by creating a whole new persona and increasingly insane philosophies and plans that only further his self-destruction.
