Chilly Willy - Vicious Viking

(1967) Chilly and Smedley are cutting ice blocks to build an igloo when they discover a viking who has been frozen in the ice for 800 years. The viking is very hungry so he tries to eat Chilly, Smedley and Maxie. He doesn't stop until he gets frozen again.

I love the 'Ride of the Valkeries' on the soundtrack when they find the Viking.

This is one of few Chilly Willy episodes that features Chilly and Smedley as friends, instead of rivals -- I wouldn't really call them enemies. It isn't clear whether or not that polar bear is Maxie, because he isn't referred to by name and he doesn't speak. It could be the first appearance of Maxie in a Chilly Willy Cartoon.
