If you want to be a Top Model and you live in SC, you can
Ask Avis: 843-261-9696 or 843-991-4957. Avis MacLellan is the owner of The Model's Studio. She is a South Carolina Certified Instructor, and more than qualified to teach all aspects of modeling.
A former runway and high fashion model, these days, Avis is concentrating on empowering young women to become the best in business and in life. That's just a small part the "BE" program Avis teaches at The Model's Studio and at Pinewood Prep. in Summerville, SC.
Avis owns her own line of makeup [Model's Makeup] and cosmetics for Brides and Models [Celebrity Secrets Cosmetics]. She is a practicing Charleston Wedding Makeup Artist, but she needs advance notice for weddings, as she is quite in demand. You can request a wedding color palette or a bridal party makeover at http://www.CharlestonWeddings.info.
If you have a question about self-esteem, how to become a model, how to get modeling jobs, how to KEEP modeling jobs, how to dress or what kind of makeup is right for your skin tone...Call Avis yourself and ask her: 843-261-9696.
Avis believes in giving back to the community. She was the SC Ambassador for Goodwill 2007, and she is very active with the Dorchester County Chambers of Commerce, among other business and networking affiliations.
She feels very strongly that young women and girls need more positive female role models and she has put her number "out there" to be an advocate for you.
Are you one of the girls who have had their dreams of being a model crushed and countless thousands of dollars taken by one of those "other" well publicized modeling agencies?
Avis says that girls come to her all the time and tell her about how they were ripped off and scammed. Don't be one of those girls. If you were, you need to let her know about it.
The Model's Studio Website is at:

I listed this video as a "How To" for lack of a better category. It IS about "how to" make it as a Top Model. I am not a videographer by any means.
The Online Design is not looking for Kudos on the film making! Of the utmost importance is the dissemination of current, relevant information right from the source: Avis MacLellan, former Top Runway, Print, Ad, Catalog and High Fashion Model.
Bottom line is: If you want to be a TOP MODEL, you need to ask a Top Model. You need to be trained by a Top Model! You need to hear frank advice from someone who actually knows the modeling industry, not pay thousands of dollars to a cookie cutter so called "modeling/talent agency" that promises you fame in a small town and has no way to deliver that to you at all.
Avis is so unique in that, if she feels you remotely have what it takes to be a Top Model, she will take you to NYC herself and walk you right into her old Agency and get you in front of the ones who have the power to "make you." Not kidding. Just ask her: 843-261-9696.
That's rare! What is happening all over America right now are families scraping up thousands of bucks they don't really have to spare to send their girls to nationally campaigned modeling schools who say they are going to get you in front of talent scouts.
What YOU DON'T KNOW is that they put you on a runway at a convention that THEY sponsor and put you in front of scouts that are paid to be there.
One of the largest modeling schools in the US invites modeling scouts to be at their conventions and conferences and pays their way to be there, puts them up in nice hotels, and makes it like a vacation to be there. They have no intention of scouting you out as a Top Model!
If a model has the potential to work in a national or international market, his or her local mother agency should be able to do the placement, or get them seen by the best agencies worldwide. That's what Avis MacLellan does at The Model's Studio and her classes are only about $20.00 each - and you get marvelous photos for your portfolio, too.
The next series of videos is going to expose the rip offs and the cons out there trying to rip away the dreams of our young people!!!
Thanks Handler3 - I saw you there. Thanks for participating. That fashion show raises a lot of money and awareness for Goodwill Industries, one of South Carolina's largest employer. Avis coordinated the fashion event, our local TV News celebrities were gracious enough to participate, too. Some of them had to be up at 3am to be back on the news.
All of the junior models were so proud. They did an amazing job, didn't they?
Handler3, thanks always for your continued support.

"it's like to be a doctor" who do you think yuo're trying to convince appart from braindead young teens ?
mandraak84 2 years ago
I'm not sure where you are going with that thought. The whole point of the discussion was to ask an industry expert about how to really make money in modeling: The only correct answer is that "you have to DO THE WORK" and not let certain agencies fill your head with false dreams and notions that you can be an "overnight success" just because you are pretty. In the real world, it just does not work like that. It's not the picture painted on TV.
Avis MacLellan gives free advice on the subject.

Yeah and her free advices are hilarious. Being a model is useless to the world ok ? Its just a leisure even though its a lot of work. Being a doctor is fucking essential, take out the doctors from the world and everybody will die. Take out the models and nobody will (it will even be better cos ppl will stop caring at chosen stereotyped beauty standards and find beauty everywhere). So my point was : using Doctor as a comparison for such a shallow job is hilarious.

You missed the point entirely. What Avis said is that just like a doctor goes to school to learn a specialty, do not think that modeling is any different. You have to learn your trade, pay your dues, and do the work...nothing is handed to anyone on a plate, so if modeling is your heart's desire in life, be ready to work hard for it. It is magnificent advice for young people today. There is a billion dollar industry that proves modeling is very important to our economy.

"There is a billion dollar industry that proves modelling is very important to our economy"
Important to our ECONOMY, not to our LIFE. You're a shallow being who dill die with the others after the fall of this rotten economic system. Dude, little unconscious being, have you realised what was going on nowadays in the world ? do you really think modelling can be compared to doctor in matter of importance or work ? is modelling SAVING LIVES, IDIOT ?

It is the height of hypocrisy to slander & insult people who desire a modeling career when YOU have featured on your page a video for "Fahrenheit Dior 1988 - Best Ad." Who do you think do you think you are featuring...a MODEL.
Models are important for news and print ads, magazines, editorials, catalogs, even cereal boxes. The modeling industry does contribute to saving lives. Consider public service announcements and world-wide awareness campaigns. It's not all about "perfume."
