Whew, now I understand, why most good mathmatic students are fat! They ate too much peanut butter!^^
But to be honest, I don't think this method is really good. I rather think students should learn the more abstract aspect of arithmetics early enough (of course not as the first step though). Therefore you shouldn't make them associate eating with mathmatics in my opinion.
Anyway I honestly appreciate your attempt at improving teaching methods. :-)
