Bridgestone Blizzak WS60 on a 2006 Mercury Milan Premier. The vehicle IS equipped with anti-lock brakes (ABS) and I do not pump the brakes at all. As is the case with all vehicles equipped with ABS, it is not active at low speeds (roughly below 10mph).

  • i live on Long island do you think i would need awd bc i know the milans offer it as an option. Is there a big difference between the fwd vs Awd model?

  • @OldsMannn if you're not going to get winter tires, AWD would really be worth it...but this car is pretty good in the winter tires otherwise

  • ABS allows alot of lock-up at real low speed there.

  • at such low speed, it's more effective that way...if the ABS was still active below 10mph, stopping distances would be longer (I read some study about that and why all cars with ABS do that) ...the video magnifies this because you can't see the entire stopping area, just the tail end of it

  • the rims for the snow tires are nice! i'd use them year round!

  • Thanks! I love these rims too. However, the OEM rims are machined aluminum and they sparkle really nice under the right conditions, these in the video are just painted.

  • @mercmilan06 Thanks!

  • Winter tires are not able to prevent skidding on black ice. Only steel studs are. You should use these for your car if you cherish your life and time.
