Are you saying not to love God with all your heart, etc.? Or are you saying that this is just not the greatest need? I do pray for God to help me to love Him more. Is there something wrong with this prayer?

Maybe your words come out from a bleading heart. It's true how can GOD love someone like you? or like me? We don't deserve HIS love. However, this is what marvelous about salvation: In that even being sinners CHRIST died for us - to take our place. I have two little girls and I would never give the life of one of them for anyone. No, not even for my greatest friend, or the best cause. GOD only had a Son and gave HIM for all of us. That's how you can know God loves you.

Yes, we love Him with all our hearts. I'm saying that, if you want to love Him more, rather than pray for Him to help you love Him, pray that He would cause you to know how much He loves you. That's what will cause you to love Him more. "We love because He first loved us." Knowing His love for us increases our love for Him.
