A first look inside Chicago's Block 37, part 1

The long-awaited opening of the shops at Block 37 has begun. Zara, Puma, Godiva and a few others have opened, but the mall was nearly barren of retail traffic when I visited at around noon the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

I left thinking: Bleak 37; retail fail.

thats how ALL new projects look when they first open why the gloom and doom looks like a very hot mall and I guarantee you there will be a lot of HOT people in that mall soon....keep me posted...perhaps its just you.....

you are right it does look boring i hope the shops bring in some light and color. I saw puma from outside state street and it looks really colorful have not been in it yet though. Cant wait till its done!

I have to say that those sweeping views of the atrium are very engaging...overall I'm feeling a good vibe from B37 now that it's opened (somewhat)
