I've always loved hearing Daniel Johnston covers. Its not about making something better than the original. If anything, it stands as a testimony to his terrific songwriting.

This is one of those songs that have haunted ever since I first heard it. Suddenly, I hear it inside my mind and a little window opens up and the sun comes in and then everyone I've ever known comes to my door in a single file line each one of them smiling and giving me hugs. :D

no. not that i know of. i just call them remixes because they're videos. calling it a remix just sounds cooler than saying, "look, i made a video to go with this song." it's a great song. it moved me like it moves you. that's why i drew a little animation for it. it's hardly an adequate tribute.
