Professor Surinder Singh is absolutely right. If Siri Guru Granth Sahib clearly specifies that a particular Shabad is to be sung in a particular Raag, then that is final. There is no question or argument about this. As a clever lawyer, Mr Lamba at first did not allow the professor to present his views properly and kept interrupting him and then tried to create a confrontation between the professor and the establishment who are deviating from the Guru's orders.
No collective or individual has the right to impose on how to set up individual connection. Mr Lamba is not letting the guest put his view forward. Human beings are individuals seeking the Guru. How they do it is not subject to any one way, as per Guru Granth Sahib. If collective goes astray, the Guru remains firm, always. Those seeking guidance cannot impose.
