At Chicago's North Avenue Beach, the lifeguards are the law. Best friends Hughie and Otis help patrol the beaches making sure nobody goes out past their waist. When young vixen Maggie and tomboy May arrive at the beach the summer takes a turn for the better. Each night when the sun goes down, a party heats up between the coed lifegurards. When the summer heats up, so does tension among the crew as friendships are compromised and love becomes an obstacle to their number one priority which is having fun.
