@unambitious Not exactly, in the compton effect, a photon hits and electron (which is already there), after the impact, the photon has lost energy and the electron get kinetic energy
Is this video showing a photon releasing an electron? I've heard of photons merging together to create electrons such as in the core of stars, but is this a single photon making the electron?
@B166ERG Not all of the kinetic energy. Because the Entering High Energy X-Rays turn into Low energy X-rays and ejected electrons.
