On July 24th, 2004, "The Lights Of Broadway" performed their first show in front of an audience of approx 100 people. Before that, Jason Williams had a dream. As the President of the Chautauqua Region Multiple Sclerosis Society, and also having a family member with MS, he decided to reach out to the community with his gift of music, acting and Direction. With little money and a handful of friends, he set out on his journey to try and make a difference in the lives of those with MS. So door to door he went asking who would want to be a part of this history in the making. Armed with a small budget, a staged frightened wife, 1 magnificent piano player, a handful of volunteers, and a donated stage, he brought his dream to reality.
This is a clip from the first performance from The Lights Of Broadway. Please excuse the recording, as stated before, low budget and volunteers. But please enjoy the clip and view the many more that are to come as these people have poured their heart and souls into performing for a wonderful cause.
