  • Hey Yuri, I've got a question for ya. I've been wondering a lot lately as to whether or not Flax seed is really as good as most people say it is. I've beeen getting so many mixed opinions on it that I figured you'd be the best person to enlighten me on the subject. Basically, I just wanna know if it is a good source of calcium and protein and fiber like people say it is, and if I should only eat it ground up.

  • @jackfrosty399 I think it's good as a source of fiber. That's about it. I use every day in my smoothies.

  • Ok to explain my sort of problem is. I cannot eat most raw vegetables and fruit.

    I just get sick.

    bad stomach aches.

    Bloating.

    Constiaption

    Followed by the 'd' word.

Only if I cook them can I then digest them.

So I have a hard time getting good fiber and energy.

How can I get what I need?

  • @LiliumCandidum You should see a naturopath to solve your digestive issues.

  • Hey Yuri. I was very overweighed 3 years ago....and dealed with a lot of jojo effects in this time after ive lost about 60 pounds...now after the third year it kinda feels like that my stomach rolled out again, and it hurts. i work out 4 times a week, mo-we-fr-su, and do cardio on thu-thur-sa and workout on my abs 6 times a week mo-sa. i eat a lot of protein, vegetables etc. i just want to get rid of the stomach fat. how long does it take?

  • @defdos I wish I had an easy answer for you. Take my free abs course at myfitteru(dot).com/abs - it should help you out.

  • @yelkaim1 Did you juice it or put it in a blender/emulsifer. I threw it all in a regular blender and it came up very pulpy. Its not bad just kind of pulpy.

  • I can respect that eating raw with lots of veggies and fruits is healthy for you. But let's face it: you're not gonna ever build much muscle on a vegetarian/vegan diet. This stringbean is a case in point

  • @LiliumCandidum Thats because your body is going through detox. Why would cooking something, or changing the structure of the foods molecules which creates a challenge for the body to digest be a etter alternative. You should research on enzyme supplements and that will aid in your digestive problems. since enzymes are what help break down your foods. Go raw and stay raw, after 90 days youll feel like a G!

  • Hey yuri, im trying to lose some weight + fat for football(Soccer) season, i'm starting to work my core muscles, im doing interval training, im changing up my diet after a long summer (a lot of sweet stuff), im trying to eat more greens drink more water instead of soda... should i drink just a protein shake after my work out about... 30 mins after im done and eat maybe a fruit? is there any other during workout and post workout diet i should have? cheers

  • is lettuce a good green, i love lettuce :D

  • Dont let this guy sway you. All the great minds in the medical field know that fat as well as FIBER slow down the delivery of protein. Stick with whey protein along with a supplimentation of dextrose or glucose. That will be optimal for a post workout shake. So what if you dont want to take whey protein, if you dont want optimal results...your not tryin to be the best you can be.

  • Great Video, thanks for the setup for the green drink.

  • I kinda disagree about this whole post-work out protein or sugar requirement. Right after your work-out, your muscles are catabolizing the damage proteins and trying to clear them out into your liver for re-assembly. The last think you want to do is induce any sort of insulin response with a shake or smoothie that's going to delay or slow down that process.

  • @Andyg2g so the question is, is running for that long (not necessarily sprinting or doing intervals) a good way of burning fat too? Because I would assume running for that long would be beneficial to burning belly fat. Please help me out here, thank you :)

  • I know you are very busy with all of your videos and comments but if you could please inform me on this little question it would be appreciated! I saw in one of your other videos that you recommend high intensity exercises mixed with low intensity exercises (intervals) for optimal fat burning in the stomach region. However, I am not really in that bad of shape, I would just like to tone up my stomach area by reducing the amount of fat and I am pretty comfortable with running 5-7 miles at once
