270whp and 340wtq are REALLY high numbers for a stage2 wrx. Ive seen 07 STI's with stage2 and intake hitting in the high 280's. So probably just a difference in the dyno. 246wHP with a stock turbo on the ej20 are pretty damn good. Jon (@HB speed now) - Rocks.

Is this an STi or just WRX with STi rear wing??
-
what is the exact process of getting a dyno tune?
-
sick suby bruh, i have 04 black wrx as well with up,dp,headers, intake, bout to throw a 16g on it with some 660cc injectors and walboro255 fuel pump and a custome tune, hoping for around 280whp atleast!!

not an sti, just wrx
-
needs more power dude
-
O ya for sure the sti spoiler completes the wrx
-
about 5 min with a 12mm socket and a pair of pliers
-
STi spoiler will fit on a wrx no problem right?
it just doesn't look right with no spoiler imo.

does anyone know how long and how diffucult it is to install the hks ssqv blow off valve?

I need to get me a Accessport then I can Stage 1 my car lol!
Ok correct me if im wrong but arent stock subies suppose to make around 300/300 give or take a few hp so i dont see why this is impressive to some for me its just like when i went to a car show watched a twin turbo supra hit the dyno and only pulled 400 something and trust me this thing wasnt stock

This is a WRX...it comes with 227hp 225 torque stock. The STI makes 300hp 300 torque stock. Those are both numbers at the crank. This is a stage 2 WRX (my friends) and its making pretty good power for a stage 2 WRX. My Stage 2 STI is making 300hp at the wheels, which is around 340-360 crank HP and 330 torque at the wheels....dont let his STI wing throw you off =]

i always hear the term, but what does "knocking" actually refer to?
silverram16 3 years ago
More common term is Detonation...its when theres 2 flames inside the combustion chamber and they collide causing piston slap which is VERY VERY bad and will kill ur engine. Happens when the cylinder temps get high from running lean, so the spark plug makes 1 flame, and when the fuel hits the piston, another flame starts and collides with the flame caused by the spark plug.

All i can say, is his car feels like a night and day difference. car drives much smoother and pulls a little harder than before the tune. His car was knocking before the tune...not anymore :)
