Apple 30" Cinema Display Setup W/ Mac Pro | IKEA Furniture

Hello,
Right now I am going to be showing you my current setup which consists of my new Apple 30" Cinema Display :D! And a 2008 8 Core Mac Pro!! Loving it!! Huge upgrade from my iMac 24" also a late 2008. I absolutely love both of these pieces of Apple Perfection! Quite amazing stuff! The Mac Pro is already very fast and is just going too keep getting faster! The Cinema Display. WOW. Just. WOW! Gorgeous display atheistically and even more so functionally. This thing is HUGE! Loving the res of it also, nothing like the iMac. Whole different experience! I like this Aluminum Apple Cinema Display a whole lot more than the LED ones. In my opinion the Aluminum ones just look sexier! But... that's just me. Yeah, the 30" Cinema Display doesn't have the most ports. Blah, blah, blah. I could care less. I'll be using this on one machine and one machine only. May even get more 30" Cinema Displays down the road! I really like them! Much worth the $750 I paid for it. Got a great deal on it. Came with original box, shipping foam, power cable, the whole-nine-yards! And.. It is in PERFECT condition! Ordered a ATI Radeon XFX Black Edition 6870 for this thing tonight, should be hear soon! So, can't wait to see the performance of that card compared to the ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256 MB that is currently in the machine. Should be a good upgrade. Then right after that I will be putting 16GB Ram in it and should seen an ever bigger performance upgrade with that. I'll be doing videos on all of it! Stay Tuned!

@iPOwLinda Got the XFX 6870 Black Edition, didn't know about the MSI:/ It does look pretty cool, but so does my XFX. Oh well.. And I got my Mac Pro for $1400. Thanks!

I am sure you have the specs of the Mac Pro in one of your videos, so I will go searching for that! When did your Mac Pro come out and did you get it off Ebay? I really want to get a Mac Pro and put in a 6870 like you did. Can I have the model number? Thanks man, I love all your videos! Your hackintosh one was really cool

@nickdog670 Yes, I believe it is in the Mac Pro Unboxing video, but I could be wrong. It is the 2008 8-Core Mac Pro 2.8GHz model with the Mac Pro Identifier 3,1. And the 6870 should work in a Mac Pro 2,1 | 3,1 | 4,1 | 5,1. Thank you! I really appreciate the kind words!

@shademims I'd say it's good. But if you want something more powerful for about the same price, I would just build a computer and Hackintosh it. Sure, the computer won't "just work" like all other Macs, because it is custom built, but you get more for the money, and you learn a lot while doing it. But if you don't want to tweak, or if you don't want to spend the time, get a Mac Pro. It just works.

good to see people still have the old CCFL apple cinemas. I think they are much better than the new LED ones. My 23" apple cinema backlight was starting to die out on me after a long 4 years so I just bought a new NEC to replace it.
