@BellettiBullet That was Brian ;)

On this date in 1964 {Feb. 15th} "Fun, Fun, Fun" entered Billboard's Hot Top 100; eventually it would peak at #5 and spent 11 weeks in the Top 100
Made it to #4 in the Philippines and to #3 in Hong Kong
B/side was "Why Do Fools Fall In Love"
Covered by The Surfriders, The Carpenters, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, and dino, Desi, & Billy
The Beach Boys next release following this record became their first #1 record, "I Get Around"...

@gauchebag Same as Bobby Elliott, the drummer for the Hollies. I think it’s the receding hairline
-
@gauchebag its strange in some videos he looks young in others old ,he always looked different , but always sounded good
-
the funniest part is that mike was like 20 years old on this video but looks 40
-
someone laughing at his bad singing
-
Brian, Carl and Al are harmonizing just beautifully....Mike sounds flat...but it's epic
-
0:20 bit awkward :)
-
mike love must have started going bald when he was like 12 years old..no wonder he was such a miserable unhappy mean spirited guy
the sound engineer on the steve allen show sucked balls
the sound on the ed sullivan show was far superior
dennis wilson at this point in time sucked mule balls as a drummer....

Right before Mike starts singing you can see (and hear) Brian tell Dennis to "pick it up." As soon as Dennis came in, the song started dragging.
Really nice footage. Great posting. I agree with John .. the boys sound very tight in their harmonies on-stage .. but Mike it too flat on the lead. The TV guys set the sound-system up ineptly .. Denny's clubbing drum-beat tends to be too loud in the mix, which overshadows some of the guitar work. But, by god, at this time in 1964, Brian sure had a beautiful falsetto. And, in the close-up shots, he damn-well made it look so bloody EASY to produce that high voice .. so gifted.

wow, I can't believe I never saw this performance before. It so clear sounding and I just love live Beach Boys from the mid-sixties! Thanks so much for the upload.
