Strange Cloud In Eastern NC

We have had wild fires here in eastern NC, that accounts for the gray smoke clouds. This was recorded June 29, 2011. Sorry for the poor quality of the video it was shot my phone camera. However, I checked with the local authorities before posting this video and they could not account for the strange cloud formation.This cloud lingered for hours over our area. We have no clue as to what it was, just thought we would share it with you.

I saw what looked like the exact same thing, only rising higher in the sky in Eastern NC on August 17. It looked like a mushroom cloud but this one kept rising higher and higher. I watched it for about 15 minutes than suddenly I looked towards where it was and it was gone. Not a storm cloud....this was at about 11:30 in the morning and it was a beautiful, clear day. Checked radar and it showed absolutely nothing.

Looks like a huge cumulous cloud - did it ever change shape or position even a little? It's definitely interesting...

@wolfparanormal Not for over 3 hours and then it just vanished. It was very odd. If you do a search on Youtube for Clouds NC and choose for the upload by date (Most recent ones) you will see a couple other videos of it.

@EParanormal Wow.... That IS odd... I can't say that I've ever heard of that kind of phenomena. Sure makes a person wonder what's up with *that*, right? :O
