Screamer's song "Flamedream" is from the band's debut album "Target Earth." This album was released in 1988, which is known to New Renaissance Records as the "summer of Hell" for heavy metal. During 1988 a number of great albums, such as Screamer's debut, were released. However, because this was the same uear as when the vinyl LP was being deleted from commercial sales, the industry was in in a bad state and many excellent albums such as this one were overlooked by the market place.
New Renaissance had full faith in Screamer, and released "Target Earth" on LP, cassette, and CD (all three formats) - which was something reserved generally for major label acts. However, despite the pust of the label, the distributors did not support the album and the first pressing is VERY RARE, It has since been released on a special numbered edition CD available on New Renaissance Records.

This is a great song. It reminds me of the Nightmare on Elm St series. I'd love to see a music video of this song with clips from that series, it would be perfect.

This is really a good album, guitars are dueling it out an the singer sounds somewhat like geoff tate/halford.

I seen this band in kenosha in the late 80's at a bar called Pt"S Anyone remember that bar or those screamer shows. was a a cool bar and those guys rocked.ahhh back in the good old days when bands rocked out and I was skinny
