Mark Hamill makes a terrific point. If a special effect doesn't move the audience, then it doesn't allow us to see the filmmaker's vision. This is filming at its most beautiful and creative form.

mark hamil tries to explain why special effects are a tool and should only be used to help tell a story. camera pans to R2-D2 who interrupts him. Lucas must have directed that shot.

so much work and effort put into special effects....but then, cgi uses just as much work and effort...several days of work for a 5 second shot
