I drove peugeots diesel for more than 15 years, indenor was designed in conjuntion with Sir Henry Ricardo in the late 60's, very enduring economical and reliable engine,this cars were doing over 30 miles to the gallon in the early 80's here in the USA they were pushed a bit more with turbochargers XD2 to meet higway speed, true the head gave away after 10 years and pluged up radiators, with proper cooling and healthy gasket the coulded lasted for ever, I even marinized one with good results.

Couldn't say much about the car, but the engines are just about indestructible. Not to mention that they were the first to have a diesel car on the market back in the 1930s so they have a very long history of working with diesel engines.

Its peugeots petrols that give it the bad name, their diesels are indestructable as long as the coolants flushed regularly

HAve you ever owned a Peugeot?I`ve owned 2 and i`ve owned about 5 Fords overall.Them 2 Peugeots i owned were miles less hassle with maintenence,more enjoyable to drive,and no, just because they are French cars they weren`t/aren`t like Shitroen Dyannes.They were crap i admit.But i`ve got a 52 reg Mondeo atm and its bloody horrible.

Pug's are normaly shitty cars... Then again you get all the wankers who like to completly kit um up and completly rice em...... Give pug's a bad name.... As for Ford i have never had any problems with any of mine..... Then again i drive something better than a pug LOL...
