  • @Melvin6566842 Yes I would agree that other cultures are investigating European ancients sites (please provide me with a link for evidence) but there is one crucial difference. The European cultural sites that is being looked at by others have to be given proper approval by the powers that be in those cultures. In Africa and Native America no such protocol exists. Whites take the position they are entitled to whatever cultural sites or artifacts that exists. They have an imperialistic view on it

  • @wovokanarchy

I know that there are quite some Japanese, Chinese and other researchers studying European culture, learning ancient languages marveling at Gothic churches and Roman temples and are greatly welcomed. I'm sure that every country that develops to a stage able to afford this kind of university departments or simply has private people that look beyond their narrow provincial frontiers does that. You seem to imply that there is something wrong with being interested in world history.

  • What if my aunt had balls?

    She'd be my uncle.

  • @wovokanarchy They wouldn't mind. However, they would require that the people you are talking about actually exist. I have yet to hear of one African Anthropologists or Native American Anthropologists make such a claim. I think that is simply because the majority of the educational systems lay in the 1st world countries. Hard to justify returning something to a place that may be invaded in the near future. I do understand your point though. Well stated and definitely worth review!

  • I wonder how Americans or Europeans would feel if a bunch of African Anthropologists or Native American Anthropologists showed up in Europe or New York requesting 'scientific inquiry' into antiquity sites of various regions?

  • Expect some looted treasure from Iraq to be displayed at the Chicago Art Institute very very soon - why not if they can't keep it we deserve to have it!

  • What if Greece had the declaration of independence on display and would not return it to the US even if they asked for it. I don´t think Americans would like that as well.
