Josh Stieber is a veteran of the infantry company shown on the ground in the "Collateral Murder" video. After three years in the army, fourteen months of them in Iraq, he left as a conscientious objector in 2009.

He and another veteran, Conor Curran, bicycled across the US to share their experiences and explain why they no longer believed in the war.

Stieber is currently a student, but continues to speak, write and organize with IVAW, The Civilian Soldier alliance and several other peacemaking groups. He can be contacted through: www.consciousloveexperiment.wordpress.com

Additional video segments of the other speakers (Gareth Porter, Ray McGovern, Conor Curran, Mike Prysner, Brock McIntosh and David LaMotte) are available on YouTube and the 2-disc DVD will be available for purchase at www.speakingtruthtopowerseries.wordpress.com

  • Very good speech and I greatly appreciate that he briefly explained the intellectual and moral questionning he went through because of receiving orders that went against everything he wanted to stand for, true freedom, human rights, and so on.

And I'm very glad that he made it through his time in the war zone while staying fully intact, as many citizens lied into these wars haven't.

  • people are being awakend from whats happening in the world , what a great speech he is awakend and spreads the message cuz there is no war when there are no soldiers
