A look at the University of San Francisco through the finder of a Revere Model 55 8mm camera in 1977.

Views include Campion Hall, Harney Science Center, Cowell Hall, Gleeson Library, Phelan Annex, Kendrick Hall, Loyola Hall (including a partial view of the Golden Gate Bridge) , and St. Ignatius Church. The shots of downtown to the east, the Pacific Ocean to the west, and Sutro Tower to the south were taken from the roof of the Harney Science Center.

  • Thanks Kingsfordish. that is Exactly as I remember it when I studied there. Great memories. I know the domes of the church were not always black :)

  • Thank you. That was cool. When I was there in the late 80's, early 90's Loyola Hall had just been demolished to make way for Koret. Was this pre-Lone Mountain acquisition?

  • Thank you for this video. The old Loyola High School building no longer exists and the area around the fountain near the Harney Science Center is torn up now for new construction. I once lived at 135 Cole St. and also on the Lone Mountain campus. The TV room in Phelan Hall next to "Pebble Beach" was once a hangout of mine. It was a different world back then.
