  • Is that a familiar sound? That sounds like CSX

  • Get them a amtrak horn

  • HONKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

  • throw the ex-SP up here, it's awesome P3 would be much better than that wheezy thing

  • Yes, Trainmasterterryan, this 3-chimer it is loud enough to do the job but listen carefully and you can hear one of the trumpets that's out of tune. Not a big deal as its still doing its job, but it's noticeable enough. Will probably be repaired when the locomotive goes through its next major maintenance inspection/repair cycle at one of the shop facilities.

  • it's not sick. its a K3L horn.

  • Ill never forget a time and I think it was a LMX motor in late 98', and I do-not-know for sure, because I know LMX had Leslie S-3s on them, but I could only hear one horn, and it sounded similar to that squeeler there, but it sounded just like somone blowing through a dying 'kazoo'!!...lol

  • A slightly fouled K-5H, it sounds like. It could use a restoration.
