  • A-FUCKING-MEN. All those libertarian and conservative douchebags who rant about the the motivating power of competition ought to pick up an actual science text for once and learn about the evolution of cooperation among intelligent species.

  • This is brilliant! Thank you for posting. Competition is not the normal human condition.

  • Brilliant lecture! Thanks for the post.

  • Trading places, remember with eddie murphy and dan akroyd, just saying dan did not like being broke, and eddie was living it up.and a newer movie Avatar, taught the message that working together makes for a better society.

  • Everyone in the house or senate in the usa and in Westminster etc. should have PhDs in Sociology. And the jurisdiction should be a group of Psychologists.

  • This guy was great in the documentary "Zeitgeist Moving Forward"

  • I know living in the USA it always feels like everyone wants to bleed you dry. No one can be trusted.

  • Halfway through the book, I was concerned that The Spirit Level was an endorsement of neo-socialism. It isn't. Instead it is a remarkable thesis on the dangers of inequality and the dangers inequality poses to all societies. Most remarkably, after building a case against inequality, the authors offer a solution that may not appeal to all, but certainly offers a way to more equitable democracies in market driven societies.

  • Marvelous and extremely important data, beautifully presented.

  • Thank you very much for posting this.

  • The only way to have sustainable prosperity is to eliminate property and all forms of differential advantage.

We must create sustainable ABUNDANCE of consumables (like food, water, energy) and universal ACCESS to everything else (like transportation, information, etc.)

  • It looks interesting but I think the video needs to be re-done, particularly on the slides. The resolution is too low to read what's on them and listening to the speech it seems as if the speakers are pointing to various areas on the slides as they speak, but we don't have any way of telling what they're pointing to in this video making it difficult to understand what they're trying to say. Some sort of indicator of where the speaker is pointing would make this video much more comprehensible.
