I am 44 years old...when my first husband and I met we were 15 & 16 years old - his mom bought this on 45 for us. I still have the record and this song has a special place in my heart.

RIP! I call it divine love, Mel! Your grateful friend forever... for the great and immortal service you have done us all, in this world!

Thank you for posting this song.
I forgot who sang it and the title, and have been searching for it for years.
I haven't heard this great song in over 20 years. Sounds great

Mel Mcdaniels was the soundtrack to my childhood

I wish someone would upload Mel's 'Most of all I remember you.' I can't seem to find that song ANYWHERE!

You can call it foolish, blame it on the stars above, call it what you want, I call it love. I am sitting here thinking about all of the oldies but goodies

dim the lights and pour the wine...soul of a honky tonk woman...roll your own...maximum living on a minimum wage...ten years,three kids and two love's too late...livin' for the weekend...they'll never take her love from me...now your talkin'...ride this train...hey y'all...sunday mornin' preachers...walk that way...the way you do the things you do...rock-a-billy-boy...you can't play the blues (in an air conditioned room)

met mel mcdaniel at camden park in west virginia,i brought my mel mcdaniel grtst hits and country honky tonk cassette sleeves with me in hopes i could get the chance to ask him to sign em,well he did and when he saw the country honky tonk he says laughing "where in the world did you find that old thang" he was also nice enough to let my mom take a picture of us together and autograph a 8x10 picture i bought at the show,down to earth and just an awesome show he put on at camden park.
This IS country music, not the convoluted crap of today(with obvious notable exceptions) that has forced me out of listening to airwave radio and into old cds. Thanks for posting this, and above all else thanks to Mel for gracing us with many great songs over the years. RIP

@judgedavefilms
What a shame -- I didn't know Mel died until after reading the last few posts. As far as I'm concerned, "I Call It Love" was one of his best songs. Hopefully, a proper retrospective of his career will be released and, hopefully, they'll finally think to add this song to the list of great Mel McDaniel tunes. R.I.P.
