Yes, but the majority of the "Occitan people" doesn't know the occitan language and haven't conscience of the existence of particulary culture... I'm very pessimist to the future... But there are multiplication of school in occitan : "calandretas". In an occitan part of Spain (the little Aran Valley), the majority of the population speaks occitan.

This is great and loved it. I really liked the music and the vocals, and all the scenic imagery of the places in the Occitania region. You like to study about this stuff on the Occitan people & their provinces or regions, huh?  Their contributions to the French and world civilizations should never be underestimated nor forgotten, the language is much alike Italian and Spanish, a bridge between Latin and the modern French. +

Je pense que tous les anges, en Provence,ont une odeur de lavande et les yeux d'azur.Quelquefois, quand ils descendent parmi vous, ils se recuieillent à l'ombre de vos oliviers ou sous les feuilles parfumées de vos vignes carressantes. @moraloc There is indeed schools there and I think that there are quite a few schools in the rest of Occitania that are opening. I hope people start using them more!!!

Dimanche, à la Festa Occitana ( Théâtre Francis Gag de Nice, 15h), je chanterai la chanson "Lo Prince Charmant", qui a représenté l'Occitanie l'an passé, au festival européen des langues minoritaires ( cette année, degun, au passage), et aussi " Bessai ti troverai" une chanson que j'ai bidouillée sur un texte d'Alan Pelhon....mais aussi, la chanson "Mon papet" des Bombes de Bal et enfin, ce magnifique chef d'oeuvre de La Talvera.....parce que tant qu'à faire d'avoir un temps de parole....

We shouldn't underestimate that most "french" cuisine is in fact occitan, and that close to half of the french state is in fact occitan. Yep, the french is similar to occitan...
