Malaysian Honeycomb Cake or "bolu sarang semut" in Indonesian is a dense cake made from caramel and condensed milk. This easy recipe produces delicious results!

  • @akmalhakimvlog the "honeycomb" refers to the honeycomb-like trails in the cake itself.

  • I'm trying this recipe today. I've been finding this cake recipe and many of them use to much sugar and condensed milk. Maybe if any of you are trying this for the first time or have tried it before, you could add rose flavour/essence to the cake mixture to rid the eggy smell from the cake (this I found in another honeycomb cake recipe but that one has too much sugar and butter in it that I didn't try)

    is. Sir, it is such a perfect recipe, it does'nt need anything else. It has such a

    clean & springy texture it's easy to swallow & leaves the mouth so clean-----

    no mushiness, no sticky debris, & so delicious. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Tried making this cake today... It turned out beautifully light, fluffy & moist!!!! All gone within half hour :0)

  • this looks so effin' delish... but its funny how you measured in grams... then used inches for the pan and fahrenheit for the oven
