Efficiency of HHO Series Cell Expressed in Joules and watt/hours for one liter of gas. Here you can clearly see that cells using few plates and voltages above the 1.8 volts that is takes to split water becomes very inefficient; fast. Baking soda yields 4 volts per cell, but lye yields 2 volts which is much closer to the 1.8 volts required to split water. While you can raise voltage to get faster gas production you quickly loose efficiency. At just .5 volts per cell more then I started with the cell became more inefficient than using baking soda. So, anyway, this makes it clear keep voltage per cell down, also isolate each cell from each other cell if you want efficient production. Holes through plates and electrolyte levels over plates cause efficiency losses; cell stack just dunked in a jar as seen on youtube are just not efficient because current can bypass the neutral plates some-what.

  • Hi Very interesting, good job done, YOUR GOING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION WITH HIGHER VOLTAGE, LESS AMPS, and yes lye.

    you did your test with 31 cells divided by 64.6volts=2.08v per cell, very good.

    Id like to see you do 62 cells at 129.2volts still equals 2.08volts. I also wondered when you did these tests if started at the same temperature each time. I will be going to your site to keep an eye on you.

  • Test are preformed on a cold system at 62F The test were run in 4 min. I have no internal thermometer.

  • i thought amps were good to have? i made a 10 washer fuel cell. 50/50 vinegar and a bit of baking soda. 12v 5amp

    how can i measure how much hydrogen im producing cuz my cell bubbles alot for its size?

  • Also try and keep the amps down to 5 or less.

  • That is pretty dang efficient!
